Overview
Baha focuses his practice on electrical engineering and software patent procurement and licensing support for standard-essential patents in the wireless communications (3GPP and IEEE 802) and codec spaces.
Baha has extensive experience providing licensing and acquisition support to clients, including performing technical due diligence on patent portfolios and preparing claim charts for products and standards. He has an educational background in the technology industry, holding graduate and undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering with an emphasis on wireless communications.

Before rejoining Volpe Koenig, Baha practiced with a Seattle area IP boutique for 10 years and previously served as a patent agent for Volpe Koenig and a Seattle-based general practice firm. Baha also worked as a research assistant at the Center for Advanced Communications at Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Life Beyond Law
Baha resides in Seattle, and he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest’s rich offerings. Baha is also a fan of the Szechuan cuisine. He enjoys making its flavorful dishes at home and trying them at restaurants.
