Jeffrey M. Glabicki
Overview
Jeff engenders loyalty among his clients for his keen intellect and quiet, thoughtful demeanor. He listens carefully in order to fully understand his clients’ preferences, goals and objectives, before providing them with valuable, customized service directed toward managing their intellectual property portfolio and licensing programs. His practice includes licensing support, strategic prosecution, due diligence litigation technical support and pre-litigation studies, and he is particularly adept at mining portfolios, mapping patents, preparing claim charts and prosecuting strategic assets. He has also worked with clients on standards declarations and FRAND/RAND issues.
Jeff’s work on monetizing client portfolios has contributed to their having secured more than a billion dollars in revenue from their patents. Among Jeff’s clients is a privately held invention capital company with several billion dollars of committed capital. He also led the firm’s team in assisting a publicly traded communications company with multiple litigations in China and Europe. Jeff has participated in Oppositions and Oral Proceedings as the EPO defending clients’ patents as well as done oral arguments for Appeals at the USPTO.
Jeff has been an adjunct professor on intellectual property protection and conducted a seminar on patent cooperation treaty practice.
Previous Work and Industry Experience
Prior to joining Volpe Koenig, Jeff worked as a registered professional engineer for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
Life Beyond Law
Jeff is the father of two young boys and his interests dovetail with theirs. They enjoy winter sports, such as skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing in the Poconos and Vermont. He is also a runner and a biker.
