Keaton is an independent contractor with Volpe Koenig. He focuses his practice on working with clients to develop and execute intellectual property strategies for competitive advantage while maximizing the value of their IP. Keaton’s practice includes monetizing intellectual property assets through securing patents, patent mining and landscaping, developing licensing programs and go-to-market strategies, patent litigation, and patent purchase and sale.
He has significant experience as a leader in the area of Intellectual Property, both as a partner in private practice and as a senior executive in several companies. With 25 years of experience in licensing, litigation, patent prosecution, and the buying and selling of patent assets, Keaton brings a strategic focus to the development of patent portfolios and the monetization of patents.

Keaton has held senior executive positions at several operating and non-operating companies and was a partner in the Silicon Valley office of a large international law firm.
