Overview

Dennis works with large and small clients to develop and protect their innovations. He focuses his practice on utility and design patent preparation and prosecution (domestic and foreign), opinions and due diligence, counseling and portfolio management, and leveraging of patent assets. He concentrates in the areas of electrical, electromechanical, mechanical and computer systems.

Dennis  counsels clients in a wide range of technologies, including electronics, networking communication systems, mobile communication systems, graphics processing, computer hardware, mechanical and electrical devices, control systems, audio-video technology including MPEG, various medical devices such as tools for cardiac ablation and arrhythmias various imaging and display systems such as virtual reality and medical imaging, optics, aerial laser-scanning, LiDAR and business methods.

Previous Work and Industry Experience

Prior to joining Volpe Koenig, Dennis was an associate in the Philadelphia office of a large national firm and an associate in a Philadelphia area patent boutique firm, where focus was on patent prosecutions for small clients to large multi-national companies in Europe and Japan. His duties included preparation of applications for domestic, PCT and foreign filing, prosecution of applications in the U.S. and management of foreign counsel in various countries to prosecute abroad.

Life Beyond Law

Dennis is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a long-time Phillies season ticket holder. He enjoys spending time with his family, including coaching his children’s sports teams, attending Phillies games and traveling to amusement parks.
