Overview

Brian is an independent contractor with Volpe Koenig. He focuses on counseling clients in all aspects of patent prosecution, patent due diligence, patent infringement, validity opinions and patent portfolio mining primarily in the areas of computer hardware and software, wireless communication technologies and electromechanical devices. He has significant experience identifying highly valuable assets among large patent portfolios.

Brian is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Technology, Wilmington University

Previous Work and Industry Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked for an intellectual property management group that acquired infringed patents from inventors and small companies and litigated on their behalf. Brian also worked as a software engineer where he spent time developing software for partitioning enterprise class server systems.

Life Beyond Law

Brian enjoys teaching courses on computing and technology at Fort Dix in Central New Jersey. He finds interfacing with veterans and active military personnel to be a gratifying experience. Brian also enjoys the outdoors and taking trips with his family. Don’t be surprised if you see Brian zooming by on a bicycle – where he’s going he doesn’t need four wheels.
