Ashley Fernandez

Ashley Fernandez serves as the Director of IP Operations, bringing over two decades of experience in intellectual property to her leadership role. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Ashley has held a variety of positions across the IP field, including legal assistant, paralegal, and new applications specialist, with a strong foundation in patent prosecution, as well as IP operations management. Her expertise also extends to docketing and trademark operations, giving her a well-rounded understanding of all facets of IP practice.

Ashley manages the legal support staff and IP operations for the firm. Blending complex problem-solving skills with a track record of building efficient processes and supporting high-performing teams she strives to ensure seamless day-to-day operations in support of the firm’s clients.  

Previous Work and Industry Experience

Ashley most recently served as IP Operations Manager for an AM Law 200 firm where she led a team of about 28 direct reports and oversaw operations and administrative functions within the docketing, new applications, formalities, and foreign filing departments.

Life Beyond Law

Outside of work, Ashley is a devoted cat lover and shares her home with three spoiled cats. She volunteers with a local cat rescue organization that cares for a feral colony and is also actively involved in her neighborhood, helping to organize community events and activities. Based in the Pittsburgh area, Ashley remains a Florida native at heart. She dreams of eventually relocating closer to the ocean—and to a warmer climate that doesn’t include snowy winters.
